State
Of The Art Wave
Technology.
The
Evolution 6 is designed to deliver zero defect soldering at high conveyor speeds
with all flux types including conventional solvent based, water based, water
soluble and VOC free; giving contract assemblers the freedom to change process
technology easily.
Fluxing
A
slide-out, EconoSPRAY pulsed spray fluxing system is fitted as standard
offering the benefits of controlled, measured fluxing... the right amount of
flux in the right place, every time.
Pre-heat
Central
to the machine philosophy is the innovative combination of infrared and forced
convection pre-heat in a 6 foot (1.85 metre) length. Split into three
independently controlled zones for accurate temperature profiling, the
convection is fully variable from 0 to 100% to cater for the evaporative
demands of the differing flux technologies. Whatever the flux type or conveyor
speed, the flux can be correctly conditioned for entry into the solder wave.
Low solids fluxes require relatively low levels of convection to optimise
entry conditions while water based formulae require higher levels of
convection to remove the water phase.
Solder
waves.
Independently
controlled twin waves sit in the same frame to ensure co-planarity while the
solder bath is engineered to ensure minimal surface agitation and minimise
drossing.
The
SmartChip wave uses natural resonance to agitate the wave and does not
rely on moving parts. The main wave is lead free compliant and can easily be
tuned to prevent the adhesion of dross from lead free solders on the underside
of the assembly.
The
whole solder module can be rolled out manually for ease of maintenance and can
be fitted with motorised roll out as an option.
Process
Control
Process
control is by computer running Invicta's own SoldaVu software in a Windows
environment and featuring graphic animation, limitless recipe storage, full
event
logging and integral temperature profiling.
It
also incorporates several innovative features, including on-board circuit
diagram, parts list, maintenance procedure and operating manual text displays.
Operator
interface is via a 10.4" touch screen mounted in a hinged console.
Construction
The
Chassis, based on a substantial box section skeletal welded construction is
clad in lightweight aluminum panels and features a one piece, lift-up hood
with total glass viewing area, large rear doors (which are hinged and lift
off) together with lift off front access panels. This open architecture
together with slide out fluxer assembly and roll out solder module allows
maximum service accessibility.
Options
Options
include the Rapier hot air knife debridging and non-destructive stress test
system, nitrogen inerting and bar code reading for automatic machine set-up
and board logging.
The
Evolution incorporates the very latest in wave soldering technology to combine
maximum yield with minimal maintenance and downtime in a small footprint. It
incorporates feature flexibility to ensure compatibility with eco friendly
water based fluxes and the forthcoming lead free solders.
Now
Available - Evolution 4
The
Evolution 4 is a value engineered version of the Evolution. It
incorporates 4 feet of pre-heat and a pallet conveyor making it ideal for
lower volume throughput.
